How rarity is scored
The tie-breaker that stops the board from filling with one template build.

Every run gets a rarity score when it is submitted. For each of your thirteen picks we look at how many people on the same seed and mode made the exact same choice: same round, same hero, same spell. The rarer the choice, the more it's worth.
The formula
For each round, rarity adds the natural log of (runs on this seed ÷ runs that made your pick). Sum the thirteen, multiply by ten, round. Being the only one of a thousand to make a pick is worth about 69 points for that round. Making the same pick as everyone else is worth zero.
Why it's a tie-breaker
The board sorts by season points first. Rarity only decides between runs with the same points, then OVR breaks any remaining tie. So rarity never beats a better season. It stops a copied build from outranking the original, and it gives a Blind run that finished level with a Classic template the higher place.
Timing
Rarity is computed when you submit, against everyone who submitted before you. Early in the day everything is rare; late in the day a common pick is worth less. Your score doesn't change afterwards, so submitting early is not a disadvantage, and the report shows what share of players made each of your picks.
